We should connect people with love and care for others with our hearts. Organized by the Company and the Fellowship Association, CR Capital Management's Hong Kong staff representatives participated in the "Food Angel" volunteer activities on August 6, such as assisting in the preparation of food ingredients and meal boxes. They helped prepare a total of 1,640 meal boxes on that day. These meal boxes were distributed free of charge to those in need of food, including the elderly, low-income families and the homeless.

After arriving on site, the volunteer staff listened carefully to the introductory talks and learned more about Food Angel. Food Angel is the first food rescue and assistance program launched by the Bo Charity Foundation in 2011 with the mission of "Waste Not, Hunger Not, With Love". The program rescues edible surplus food from different sectors of the food industry that would otherwise be disposed of as waste. Following strict safety protocols, the rescued food items will then be prepared as nutritious meals in our central kitchens and food packs. They will be distributed to serve the underprivileged communities in Hong Kong. CR Vanguard, City' Super and Pacific Coffee, all owned by China Resources, donate food to Food Angel.
In addition to assisting in the preparation of food ingredients and meal boxes, CR Capital Management's Hong Kong staff also donated food such as rice, noodles and cereals to Food Angel. The food was purchased, donated and delivered by our colleagues voluntarily. After the event, Food Angel sent a thank-you letter to CR Capital Management for the food donation and volunteer service.
By participating in this volunteer activity, CR Capital Management's Hong Kong staff served the community and cared for the underprivileged in society. In addition, CR Capital Management has strengthened its "Capital Leadership" brand building through this volunteer action. CR Capital Management actively fulfills its mission as a state-owned enterprise (SOE) in Hong Kong and is committed to supporting Hong Kong's economic and social development. In 2020, the City' Super project, which was acquired by CR Capital Management's Asia Food Growth Fund, helped CR Group enhance and intensify its development in Hong Kong's livelihood-related sectors. In the future, CR Capital Management will continue to leverage its strengths, bolster its services for Hong Kong and contribute to the stability and prosperity of Hong Kong.
